Runover by Car Fatalities Strike Local Worker
Charles Johnson a ship carpenter 50 of Second and Pine Street was run over by a Hoquiam Aberdeen car at Second and Division between 9 and 10 pm and died at St Josephs hospital. He suffered severe traumas including loss of a leg and a foot and a finger. Johnson was intoxicated and had boarded the car at Twentieth Street Hosquiam prior to the incident. He is survived by a wife and six children and the funeral is planned for Sunday afternoon.

Lumberjack Nearly Severed by Cable at Camp No 7
Peter Grand a woodsman at North Western Lumber camp No 7 near Electric Park was caught in a moving cable Wednesday afternoon. His left leg was nearly severed above the ankle, with a compound fracture. Attending physicians hope the foot can be saved.
