A. J. Gillis, discharged from the HERALD on Sept 1, was arrested in Olympia on a warrant from the editor charging embezzling subscription funds. He was brought to Montesano jail for a hearing before Judge Arnold with defense by Attorney Schofield. The case was in progress as we went to press.
