Pioneer Hackett Dies in Hoquiam at 51
Shelby Coldwell Hackett, longtime Grays Harbor shingle mill head sawyer, died suddenly in his Hoquiam home on Karr avenue at age 51 after heart disease struck in sleep. He was born in Canada and moved to Aberdeen in 1892, later settling in Hoquiam. He leaves wife, two sons Frank and John, daughter Mrs Potter C Demeree, and two brothers James of Aberdeen and John L of Hackett Minnesota. Funeral held this afternoon from the family residence.
