Fire guts Pioneer Building at 314 South F Street
A blaze destroyed the Allen rooming house at 314 South F Street early Monday with about 2000 dollars in losses and no insurance. The long vacant structure, owned by T. G. Cattle Tuberculosis Rates Reported Across State
The state department of agriculture records 16 069 cows tested for tuberculosis in sixteen months averaging over 1 000 monthly with Pierce County showing the highest incidence at about 17 percent. In Tacoma and statewide tests combined 1 502 cows were tubercular. Under the compensation law 6 555 tests occurred since June 10. First 209 diseased cows were slaughtered with total appraised value about 5989 dollars and carcass returns about 2606 dollars, while the state covered 8382 dollars. Commissioner Graves projects testing 30 000 animals with a 25 000 dollar appropriation.

Tubercular Cattle Rare in Crags Harbor County Herds
