At the Acme Opera House on May 26 1900 the 7th and 8th grades under Mrs Mc Namara with Miss Zane and Miss McDermoth present instrumental solos recitations and choruses. Performers include Lulu Carman Nettie Ballew Violet Wentworth Gerald Knudsen Vivien Steen and Elizabeth Girton among others. The evening features a cantata Peace Convention Goddess of Peace and an 8th grade address by Supt. McKillip.

Through train service begins on Burlington and Northern Pacific
On April 29 the Burlington and Northern Pacific inaugurate a through train from Portland Seattle Tacoma Spokane and Helena to Kansas City and St Louis via Billings Montana. Trains run daily with sleeping dining tourist and reclining chair cars. The route is hundreds of miles shorter and faster than competing lines. Buy four tickets via Billings and the Arlington Route to save time.
