Geo A Todd and colleagues travel to Everett for the Knights of Pythias grand lodge. The Grays Harbor Loggers Union forms with 57 members led by President Frank Rhodes and Secretary F G Hill. Five other items include city treasurer Clark's return after illness, a boy’s death at a mill accident, Dr Joseph Kent relocating with dental practice, and a steamer overhaul with Montesano replacing T C Reed on runs. Six Academy of St Rose graduates listed.
Ralph McRae, linked to a California elopement with Mrs. Linville, was captured in Aberdeen after returning from a train stop. He faced a misdemeanor order with Mrs. Linville. both were bound for superior court with McRae jailed on $600 bail and Linville released on $200 bond. He fell ill and was moved to Aberdeen General Hospital, then to county jail as recovery continued.
Aberdeen reports a localized small pox scare with swift action by Health Officer Smits and the board of health. The Fielder family, recent arrivals from Duluth, were isolated and recovered. Miss Cartha Ballew remains the only exposed case. A quarantine guards a sparsely settled city block, schools may remain open, and no further cases are anticipated.
