Mo Clips May 15. Superintendent J W Hodge says the Mo Clips school Industrial club has one of the state’s best records. In a week the 20-odd members earned from 10 cents to 17 dollars 70 cents. A boy earned 17.70 in 17% hours by digging and selling clams, paying two dollars for transport. A girl earned 10 cents net after paying 1 20 for a shovel.

Fire destroys Moclips block buildings and cottage
A Friday morning fire in Moclips leveled two store buildings and a cottage with an estimated loss of 8000 dollars. The blaze started in the Hayes home forcing the family to flee in night clothes. their piano was saved, the dog perished, and money was left behind. Neighbors aided the Hayes family with shoes and relief funds were raised by train crews. Firemen and residents saved the apartment house across the street and several nearby cottages. breweries and packers helped with pumps and water.
