Court Revokes Citizenship Over Fraudulent Naturalization
In Seattle a Tacoma man Leonard Oregon is disbarred from American citizenship after a judge ruled he lied about supporting the U.S. Constitution to obtain naturalization. The case, a landmark in naturalization history, held his socialist views and alleged intent to abolish property rights contradicted allegiance to the United States. He admitted being a socialist and connected to radical assemblies, with testimony showing evasive answers during cross examination. The decision emphasizes the need for genuine patriotism in the naturalization oath.
