Diphtheria Strikes Montesano Claiming Two Local Victims
Diphtheria sickened Montesano families last week. The seven year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Allen died after a brief illness. Mrs. Crane died following pneumonia induced by the disease after a rapid decline. Private burial was ordered that night due to danger of contagion. Mrs. Crane had lived in Chehalis County since infancy and was widely known.
