Federal lien law grants vessel claims against ships
A copy of the new federal rem/ action law allowing lien on vessels for supplies has reached the Secretary of State. Passed by Congress, the act prioritizes marine liening over state statutes and enables actions to recover from the vessel rather than the owner or company.
