Morgan Residence Burned In Wishkah District Fire
The Mor gan home at the corner of K and Wishkah streets was destroyed by fire Monday evening with most contents lost. Mrs. Morgan and her son were inside. she narrowly escaped as flames blocked the door. John Kelley and D. McDougall rescued her by breaking a window. Loss estimated at 7000 dollars with 2000 dollars insured. Mr. Morgan had been away in British Columbia overseeing a saw mill project.

City officials in Aberdeen faced a 6 to 6 tie on repealing the one oclock saloon closing ordinance. Mayor France did not cast a deciding vote as council adjourned with substantial business completed.
