Olympia Feb 12 The state tax commission says assessors must tax timber valued property equally with land and not exempt small timber tracts. Chehalis County had used a 250000 feet per 40 acre rule to skip timber assessments, a practice the commission calls improper and likely to remove most standing timber from tax rolls if followed.

Frank J. Trendricks Dies at 23 in Cosmopolis
Frank J. Trendricks, son of Mrs. Fred Schnurr, died yesterday morning in Cosmopolis after a months long illness from pneumonia. He was 23 and formerly worked for Frye & Co. in Aberdeen and later in Seattle. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon with Rev. Chas. McDermoth presiding. He had returned home in ill health around Christmas.
