W S Cogdill and John Rea visited Humptulips to view timber and property interests. Christian prayer meetings are held weekly in the schoolhouse at 7 30 PM. Humptulips Sewing Society enjoyed a social at Mrs Proctor Brown’s home. Dr J D Morgan leased the Charley Evans building on Third and Broadway and settled in, with stylish ground floor rooms. Robert Locke of Aberdeen cruised timber north of the city during the week.

Aberdeen City Council Approves Street Improvement Plan
The Aberdeen City Council decides to open and improve a road along a 60 foot wide strip from the county road to B street near Stewart's bluff. They will fund the project from the general city fund, with plans and cost estimates prepared by City Engineer E G Hunt and bids advertised after approval. The resolution, dated February 1 1902, was attested by City Clerk Gro A Brack with first publication February 6 1902.
