Aberdeen’s Busy Week Fills Social and Business Events
A bustling Aberdeen roundup notes visits from A E Green in Portland and Edmund Croft from Markham. Local figures like W H Kneeland and J S Bridges travel for business, a Ministerial Alliance forms, and The Racket and other shops promote sales. A new daughter, a city council note, and a theater night add to the week’s social cadence.

Warren vs Martin Contest Opens with Legal Scrutiny
Judge Hodgday presided as Seth Warren challenged H T Martin for county auditor. Martin’s attorney J C Cross dissected the complaint, prompting an amendment and a bailment of key issues including eligibility, election legality in East Montesano, precinct returns, and vote counting. An answer to the amended complaint is due Saturday as the second round looms. For a local elocution event, Miss Lottie L Tillotson’s performance at the Congregational church drew fair attendance but elicited strong audience dissatisfaction and calls for refunds. Her recital and speech were poorly received, described as the bumest ever in Aberdeen.
