Pullman Ordinary Sleepers Introduced by O R N Co
The Pullman Company has issued the Pullman Ordinary Sleeper to meet rising East to Pacific travel. Cars resemble regular sleepers but lack luxury and provide necessities on board including bedding and towels. Each car includes a stove for tea and coffee and a uniformed porter to handle berths and passenger needs. The Portland Oregon route carries these cars on the Chi Portland Special to Chicago and Atlantic Express to Kansas City. Rates are lower while service remains near-palace level.
