Frank Kellogg and his two sons, after a several week stay in California, arrived back home Saturday aboard the Olympic. Arthur Poe Blake is reported much improved and out of danger, bringing relief to Hoquiam friends. E. L. Carpenter, junior engineer, left for Westport to survey Grays Harbor bar. The J. F. Connor schooner tied up after a 14 day fishing trip, landing about 5,000 pounds of blackcod, rockcod and halibut from Cape Flattery.

Montesano Mill Upgrades Boost Cedar Belt Capacity
Bishop Crigs has bought the J A Dennis shingle mill in Montesano and begun improvements to install a dragsaw and rebuild the dry kiln area. The project, costing over 1500 dollars, will raise daily capacity to about 150000 and secure timber supply. More jobs are expected as Sylvia Mill and Montesano Lumber increase operations.
