Miller appeals after wife beating conviction in police court
Geo Miller was convicted of wife beating in the police court and sentenced by Judge Drake to six months in the county jail. An appeal to the superior court was filed and Miller was released on two hundred dollars bail.

Outlaw Tornow killed by Deputy Quimby in Washington woods
Deputy Sheriff Giles Quimby shot and killed the outlaw John Tornow six miles from the Pillishack cabin after Tornow killed Louis Blair and Charles Lathrop, bringing the death toll to six.
