Keel Laid For New Steam Schooner At Hoquiam Dock
Hoquiam April 15 The keel for a large steam schooner of the double ender type will be laid at Mathews shipbuilding yards early next week for the S S Freeman company of San Francisco The 195 foot keel 41 foot beam and 14 foot depth of hold will carry 950000 and cost about 120000 The project will employ fifty men and aim to finish by September 15 for passenger and freight service on the Pacific coast.

Work Progress at South Bay Whaling Station
