The Montesano county board adopted a resolution barring races on all county roads. The Fir Logging Co. received permission to move logging engines between New London and Humptulips with a bond. resignations and appointments occurred in road supervision. The new county hospital was accepted with caveats. Bid awards were given for road rollers and other machinery, with several bids rejected. Plats approved, road openings directed, and multiple road improvements and tax adjustments outlined.

Logs expected to rise nearly a third. suit seeks tax cut on five timber sections. A $20,000 damage suit over a death on a railroad bridge is filed. Montesano Aerie plans to dedicate a new hall April 23 with a large welcoming train from Hoquiam Aberdeen.

Crary and an expert bit fisher have been on site for weeks and have likely recovered the bit, after which Waugh will order drilling continued.
