War Veteran J C Statton Dies While Fishing
J C Statton a Civil War veteran from the Oregon soldiers home died yesterday morning while fishing on the Ocosta wharf. He was 76 and a member of Company M 7th Missouri Cavalry. His body was taken to Hoquiam and will be sent to Roseburg Oregon for burial.

Two Italian laborers injured on Oregon-Washington grade
