Burial of Ovie Anderson in Hillside Cemetery
The remains of Ovie Anderson aged 34 a Fortymile district roadhouse keeper were laid to rest in Hillside cemetery. Rev Dr Grant delivered the funeral sermon as Mrs Anderson and her brother in law mourned beside a small circle of friends. He came from Grays Harbor Washington to the Klondike seeking medical help but died of Brights disease. His widow will run the business and plans to return to the Fortymile shortly.
