At Matsqui on Thursday a large crowd enjoyed fine weather and a strong agricultural display. Mt Lehman beat Mission 6 to 2 in football, with children’s events praised. Numerous prize winners were named across cattle, horses, poultry, flowers, baking, and school works, led by Percy Smith and Mrs. Bates in multiple divisions.

A Sunday school Institute will be held at the Abbotsford Presbyterian Church on Monday the 27th with afternoon and evening sessions. Rev W Williamson secretary of the BC Sunday School Association will address both sessions and assist with song service. Mrs McKay will speak on work in primary classes. Other speakers include Messrs Scott Con of Mission Reid and Miller of Mt Gehman and Gayburn. Open to the public and all Sunday School workers and friends are invited. The BC School Association meets its 16th annual convention in Wesley Church Vancouver on Tuesday Oct 5 and the following two days with delegates expected from across the region.
