Mission City Fall Fair Attracts Outside Exhibitors

Matsqui Fair Draws Crowds Despite Fewer Exhibitors
Matsqui fair goers enjoyed fine weather on Thursday while exhibitors numbered lower than last year. A Mt. Lehman beat Mission 4 to 2 in the football match. Children’s sports were praised as the best with Mr. A. Cowley opening the event.

Local Council Reports Repairs and Finances Advised
Reeve Munroe flagged a dangerous culvert on Wye road and the clerk was instructed to request the Canadian Pacific Railway to remedy it. An appropriation of 20 dollars for Hert road at Stratton was approved and paid to Mr Grimmett for completed work. The council ordered a list of bills paid including school salaries 370 dollars, secretary and incidentals 93.65, various individuals for services and hires, and bridge inspection 6.90. The session adjourned.
