The Abbotsford-Matsqui Victory Loan committee doubled its quota from 50 000 to about 110 000 dollars and expects a few applications before 6 PM Saturday November 16. The unit was the Fraser Valley’s first to meet its quota in three days and has since maintained a strong run. It has earned at least six crowns to be added to the honor flag along with a new flag display.
Messrs Whitehelo and Scott announce they have taken over the business of Mr H B Hill. The store stayed open during the transfer to avoid inconvenience, and they ask customers to overlook any lapses in service. They promise to make service a primary consideration and note a formal announcement next week.
