Pte Sam Giles came home from England last Friday in good health and spirits despite a head wound. He served about five months to the trenches and has many stories, some humorous, to tell. Ladies Aid will elect officers when they meet at the Manse next Wednesday. Vancouver widow Newspaperman Bercart Justina Harboard dies leaving four children and a husband. She was formerly Mrs Nash and tied to prominent local circles. Her husband Mr Harboard once served as provincial government official at Merritt and is now a journalist with the Vineyar World in the Fraser Valley, Columbian.
