The marriage of Hazel Victoria McLagan daughter of the late J C McLagan and of Mrs McLagan of Hazelbrae Clayburn to Lieut Heinrich Maximilian son of Baron and Baroness Richard von Knobloch took place on Saturday evening at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Only immediate relatives attended with invitations issued. Dinner followed at the Hotel Vancouver and the couple planned a honeymoon in Seattle and other places before residing in Germany. The bride wore plum colored cloth with plush accessories and fur details.

Sixth Silver Medal Contest To Be Held In Abbotsford
The W C T A of Abbotsford will stage their Sixth Silver Medal Contest in the Presbyterian church on Monday March 2. Many town and district ladies contest as well as senior and junior boys and girls. Four medals will be awarded with outside judges. This marks the start of the Silver Medal series leading to a later Gold Medal contest.

Inspector of Municipalities Powers Expanded in New British Columbia Act
The new Municipal Act grants the Lieutenant-Governor in Council authority to appoint an Inspector of Municipalities and necessary staff to oversee municipal matters. The Inspector can issue official seals, have documents admitted in court, and certify copies as equal to originals. Public inquiries may be held with broad powers and protections, open to the public, and enforceable as regulations.
