The will of Hugh Wilson leaves 35000 to Thornwell Orphanage for enlarging the general dining room and kitchen and Memorial Hall. The cornerstone of the addition will be laid May 28. A copy of The Press and Banner with his obituary and photo will be placed in the cornerstone to honor him.

Overman Bill Passes Congress Heads to Wilson for Signature
The Overman bill authorizing presidential reorganization of departments passed 295 to 2 in the House and moves to President Wilson for his signature. Provisions to exempt the Interstate Commerce Commission were defeated, as were other amendments. Aviator Baylies Downed Ninth Enemy in France
Paris dated report states Frank Baylies of New Bedford Massachusetts serving with American forces in France has shot down his ninth enemy aircraft. Baylies belongs to the Stork Escadrille and earlier downed his eighth machine after serving in the American field ambulance corps.

First U S Airmail Flight Reaches Washington
The army aeroplane starting from New York on May 15 delivered nineteen pieces of mail to President Wilson at the White House in Washington by 2 50 pm. A box of flowers for Mrs Wilson accompanied the mail. Lieutenant Culver later arrived at Belmont Park with government mail from Washington.
