P Matthews Dead in Greenwood County
P Matthews dies from paralysis in Greenwood County on Friday March 6 after illness and a long career in farming and mercantile business. Born in Greenwood County he led Durst Matthews firm and served as director in many local enterprises. Survived by two daughters Lura Matthews and Mrs J B Abney. Also notes Abbeville County Teachers Association meeting and program in Due West with speakers on geography and tomato clubs.
