Editor Visits Soldier Boys in Columbia
Last Saturday the Red Cross committee visited the soldiers camp at the fair grounds in Columbia. They met Abbeville youths Willie Mahon Willie Tones W D Wilkinson Wardlaw Lyon and Charlie Lyon who appeared healthy and happy. Wardlaw Lyon was on guard duty and observed eight men in a guard house formed by four chairs and two sacks with two games of set back in progress. The visitors concluded Wardlaw was the one punished.
