Hoover outlines five of twelve basic commodity groups

Secretary Hoover said the bureau of foreign and domestic commerce has decided on five of the planned basic groups textiles coal and oil chemicals leather products and foodstuffs while the total number of groups and staffing levels remain undecided. The plan aims to expand exports and develop existing markets with similar groupings to be adopted in the bureau of standards and the census bureau to unify statistics and export producer standards.

Anderson Wins Southern Zone Traps Championship

June 7 in Atlanta Paul Earle captured both the Southern zone champion ships and the preliminary handicap at the trap shooting contest. He broke 155 targets without a miss and tied 197 of 200. He won the site-off championship and received a 14 American Trapshooters association medal along with the Southern zone title. Earle also achieved 97 of 100 white flier targets from a 22 foot rise, adding to his tally of over 50 trophies.
