A brief school notice announces office hours for business transactions every Saturday at Abbeville. Signed by Wy Te Milford dated May 1, 1588, under the heading School Comminstoret. The OCR fragment shows era style notice with misspellings and elderly place names.
County commissioners must act to remove waterlogged sirens from land as directed by R. E. Cox, clerk. The notice dated May 9, 1804, specifies the immediate action required by property owners and authorities.
Rev F J Grime of Washington presided at the dedication of the Ferguson Mount Wilinews College for Colored Students building. He praised Rev and Mrs Williams for twelve years of devoted, mission driven work in the community and urged continued support as the new edifice signals a larger future.
The audience at the High School auditorium endured joy and light before news spread that Mrs. Eugenia Robertson and Mr. James Cusimert Chalmers had died. Mrs. Robertson, wife of Col. J. T. Robertson, leaves three daughters and two sons. Mr. Chalmers, a former Newberry marble business man, had suffered years of illness but was well regarded. Funeral services were held at the Episcopal church with a large turnout, and both deaths cast a pall over the community as teachers and families mourned.
In Greenwood County on May 25 1801 a group of youths from Harrelsonville organized the Harrelson Literary Society at the home of Mrs W A Harrelson. The aim is to unite efforts to advance education and character through lectures and study, with officers elected quarterly and meetings every Friday at 8 pm.
The text presents a jagged poem about driving through mist and cloud with muddled wording. It mentions striving up the Leight, shadows behind, facing forward bravely, and a blessing for a couple, extending to a community and region.
Fragmentary OCR recalls Rubore Pratt and Mr Hobert Pratt living at Hervenwood with references to travel and illness. The garbled text mentions a 16 NOL timing and a possible health or family event, but key names and details are unclear and the record remains unreadable.

Abbeville High School showcased its improved facilities and a skilled teaching corps. The graduation exercises featured Prof. Charles F. Smith delivering an inspiring address and a detailed program honoring eight graduates, with strong emphasis on merit and equal treatment of all students.
