Mrs Emory Rourark of Union wife of Rev Emory Rourark pastor of the Wesleyan church died at Steedleys hospital Chick Springs from injuries in a morning auto crash near the Fairview church in this county a five months old infant escaped injury. 97th Anniversary Bible Meeting At Due West
Abbeville County chapter of the American Bible Society held its 97th anniversary meeting in Due West with about 200 attending. Dr J I McCain opened the session and Rev C B Williams delivered the keynote address. Officers elected as life members included Mrs Seldon Kennedy Mrs R C Browne and Dr G Thomson. The group donated 300 Bibles to De La Howe School and will meet next year at Shiloh on the last Wednesday in May.
