Supt. J D Fulp returned from Columbia where he met State Supt Swearingen and State Board of Education officials about a proposed new school building for colored children in Harrisburg. The genuine boll weevil was located on the plantation of Wm. McNeill beyond Lebanon. Clemson College confirmed the insects after receiving a bottle with several specimens. Local observers doubt serious damage will occur this year if at all.
