Farm Loan Board urges higher lending and fire insurance power
The Farm Loan Board in its annual report asked Congress to enlarge federal land banks lending limits and grant authority to write fire insurance on farm property. It proposed minimum loans of 500 and maximum loans of 25000, and noted over 160 million dollars lent benefiting more than 64 000 borrowers. The report says federal land banks outpace private agencies in impact, though their share remains small.
