Death of Mrs Penney at Anderson Hospital
Mrs Alms Spearman Penney died after a brief illness at Anderson Hospital on Saturday December 21 1918. She was the wife of the late William Penney of Abbeville married in 1903 and widowed in 1904. A former resident of Anderson she practiced nursing and had many friends. Burial took place in Anderson on Monday. Dr Jack Pressly has been discharged from service and returned to Hone ready for business at the old stand. He said nothing could keep him from duty even to having his legs dressed in tea-bag puttees.
