Vote counts show Aiken leading with 4,509 and Dominick close at 4,490 while Tillman has 3,403. In Oconee County 900 votes remain with Aiken 976 Dominick 326 Tillman 564 Horton 386 Dagnall 991 in play.
Election in Abbeville County passed quietly except for a Lowndesville incident where Ras Simpson and Bunyen Scoggins fought over a pistol. The Third district contest shows Fred H. Dominick leading Wyatt Aiken early, with county tallies favoring Dominick or Aiken in various counties. Totals across districts list Aiken, Dagnall, Dominick, Horton, and Tillman with shifting counts.
Mrs Frank Gary entertained the bridge club last Friday afternoon with several rubber games of Auction Bridge and dainty refreshments. Miss Amelia Anderson also hosted Tuesday night for her bridal party with a rehearsal and refreshments, including punch served throughout.
Mrs. J. E. Cheatham's home hosted the Needle Club and invited guests last Friday afternoon. Attendees sewed and talked while Misses Bessie Lee Cheatham and Gladys Wilson served punch and a tempting salad course.

Rev J L Martin will preach Sunday morning at the Presbyterian church in the pastor absent during his vacation. Martin was ordained and installed as pastor of the Abbeville Presbyterian church 46 years ago next Saturday.
