Reunion plans for 81st Division veterans in Columbia
Plans for the annual Highty‑first division reunion set for September 20 and 21 in Columbia. Central committee met at the Jefferson hotel to arrange a two day convention with thousands of veterans expected to attend.

Federal Judge Dies At Post Reunion Program

Bodies Returned From Overseas War Casualties Number 2187
The War Department announced that 2,187 American dead have been returned from overseas and about 1,338 others are en route to the United States. Requests for the return of roughly 45,000 bodies from France and England were noted. Also, the Ford of Robt. S. Uldrick was wrecked near Due West road. Mrs. Uldrick and children were shaken but unharmed aside from bruises.

Rev Clark Returns Home From Virginia Mission Visit
Rev Peter C. Clark secretary of Home Missions of Montgomery Presbytery in Virginia returns to Shawsville after visiting his son H. G. Clark. He preached two sermons in the Presbyterian church here on Sunday before leaving for home Tomorrow.

Roberts to Call Special Session
Nashville Aug 6 Governor Roberts of Tennessee announced tonight he would issue tomorrow a normal call for a special session of the Tennessee General Assembly and would recommend ratification of the suffrage amendment to the federal constitution. A single state can make it effective in the 1920 presidential election in all states. The time for convening the session had been suggested for August 9. Some said the Friday session filled vacancies and boosted ratification prospects. Later reports say the Tennessee solons were called to order at noon today.
