Nine years ago in Jud. Ter. Mill Creek resident O Farthing faced a life threatening crisis. He credits Electric Bitters as the turning point that restored strength and kept him well since then. Bold guarantee advertised at P B Speed's drug store.
An old card proclaims a remedy to relieve emeti and cold symptoms, claiming it prevents pneumonia and consumption, contains no opiates, and comes in a blue and yellow package. It advertises money back if Foley loney and Tar fails to cure.
A brief line notes that Silks and the Haddon Co. keep blue ribbon tuffets, described as the best money can buy, signaling quality assurance in fabric and furniture trade.
Greenwood defeated Abbeville 4 to 2 in a brisk game. Calhoun of Greenwood pitched six innings, allowing four hits and striking out fourteen. Lyon pitched for Abbeville, recording fourteen strikeouts and three assists. Graydon made a running catch in the first inning as Greenwood scored in the third and eighth, with three hit batsmen.

In Abbeville County probate order, L W White Co offers sale of Thomas E Frith estate real estate to pay debts. Public auction at Abbeville Court House in May 1908 includes Tract 1 of 21 acres by Vienna Road and neighbors, Tract 2 of 35 acres, and a 1/4 acre lot, with cash terms and purchaser pays papers.

A faded ad touts Dr King’s New Life Pills as cures for liver and bowel stagnation, headache, and biliousness, with a Speed’s Drug Store price of 950. It also promotes Dr Shoop’s Health Coffees as a deceptive “coffee” made from toasted grains and malt, claiming quick 8 minute prep and 1 pound price.
