The WMS appointed Mrs J M Telford Mrs PJ Carpenter and Mrs W Horsfield to supervise scholarine for special mes course for young women. Telford criticized the minister of finance for spending on the Victory Loan and warned against graft in future campaigns.

Canadian Patriotic Fund to be financed by Dominion Government

After March 21 1919 voluntary contributions to the Canadian Patriotic Fund will end and provincial organizations will pause. A core fund will be supported from national resources with the Dominion Government financing. Mr J A M Patrick Kew served on the provincial executive committee.

Donald McLeay deputy registrar of Yorkton Land Registration District was promoted in 1902 later offered the post of Registrar of the West Sask Heathbewan District with headquarters at Battleford He served Saskatchewan Government 1907 as lumber clerk and held a reserve officer role Enlisted in the Canadian Militia around 1904 and served at Wolseley Barracks London Ont He earned a commission in 1908 before resigning to enlist for active service in the South Africa War His unit carried 106 men from Hamilton Ont to Halifax and sailed for Durban He returned to Canada later and remained on the Reserve of Officers He will move with his family to Battleford and is active in Masonic and veteran circles in the region
