Next Sunday Salmo and Vimir play a baseball match, a closely contested game expected. Grand Master W J Bowser inspected Vinir Lodge A & AM with a large attendance. A banquet followed. J G Dewar led Nelson Lodge contingent. Scottish concert planned next week for the Presbyterians, featuring vocal and instrumental acts plus readings. Admission 50 cents with refreshments. Scotch fare promised. Spokane railroad excursion offered October 4 with half fare to Spokane and return by Oct 10 or later. Spokane fairs set for Oct 4–6 with rail service and special rates. The British Columbian day on Oct 8 features the British Jack, a $1000 purse race for 217 pacers, and strong turnout anticipated.

Voters not on the current list are reminded the list closes on the last Monday in September the 20th until after the court of revision on September 6. With the Dominion Election likely in early November those who fail to vet by the 26th must wait for another opportunity to register.
Rotherham Weds Nellie Keefe at Ram in Ymir Parlor
Thomas Rotherham of the Ymir Cyanide plant married Nellie Keefe in the Ross House parlor Ram. Rev Althof officiated. The couple left for Spokane for a short honeymoon and expect to live at the Cyanide plant by early next month. Both families are longtime Ymir residents with strong local ties.

Ymir Lodge Holds First Anniversary Of K of P.
The first annual anniversary of Ymir Lodge No. 32 K of P was held on September 19 with about forty members present. The evening featured lodge business, three new members initiated, a sumptuous repast by Bro. Pinley McLeod, toasts led by Bro. M Coffey, and songs ending with Auld Lang Syne.

Fatal Accident at Ymir Mine
A 22 year old miner Ronald K Brown died after the bucket cable broke at the Ymir mine. The coroner's inquest blamed the accident on cable failure and found negligence in enforcing riding rules despite warnings. The jury noted overloading and broken wires as contributing factors.
