Porto Rico Lumber builds sash and door factory. St. Charles Inn hosts youth sports. several residents travel east or to Spokane for health and business.
Fire chief McTnnis prescribes alarm signals for fire responses. Steady ring one stroke then pause two strokes then pause three strokes indicate a fire, a call for help, and handling the hose after use.
Presbyterian Church announces Sunday School and Bible Class at 10 a.m. and evening service. Young People's Society meets Friday at 8 p.m. All are welcome. Rev W G Ross is pastor.
The line introduces a regular passenger service from Nelson to Marcus with morning departures at 9:00 a.m. and evening returns, arriving Ymir around 10:15 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. No buffet car. Freight runs as needed. An unconfirmed report hints a competing Corbin line train to Spokane may follow once complete.
The Transvaal lease to Mrs Collins of Evie shows improving prospects as four men work on ore extraction. Mrs Collins plans to ship a load of high grade ore around Christmas. Fred Leitch, injured at the Arlington mine, has returned to Erie and is staying at the Mersey hotel. His foot injury is healing well and he hopes to resume work soon.
A. H Lowe, Ben Lawrence and Frank Finney of York have secured a lease on the Keystone mine four miles from Erie. Snow at the Second Relief mine is about 60 inches deep with excellent sleighing to Erie. A 40 horsepower engine is being tilled at Second Relief for age when water supply fails.
American and Canadian workers at Porto Rico Lumber Co celebrated Thanksgiving with a large dinner at the boarding house. J A Dewar and G W Orchard led company leadership while J N McDonald spoke for the employees thanking both sides for steadfast service and camaraderie.

The C B Society entertained at St Andrews Highs in Ymir under Presbyterian auspices with local entertainers the ladies from Yiarh performing. A large attendance enjoyed games music and speeches before a Scotch supper. A collection at the door supported a Christmas tree for local children.
Members of Vime Lords No. 31 A F and A M attended a Sunday service at the Presbyterian church in regalia. Rev Walter G Ross preached on Samuel and Jonathan stressing brotherly love, relief of distress among masons, and charity taught by Christ with examples of secret aid to families of deceased brothers.
