Governor Belmore Visits Manning River 1870

The Diamantina and Urmara bore the Governor Earl Belmore and party up the Manning River on June 1, 1870. Crowds cheered from Croki to Tinonee as schoolchildren and residents welcomed the Royal visitor and Countess of Belmore. The Governor inspected Croki church and public works, receiving loyal addresses and celebrations before departing.
