The Annual Fete in connection with St Joseph's Convent Wingham was officially opened by the Mayor of Wingham, AM BE LG RO Keech, on February 2 1939. Rev Father Mulcahy presided. he praised the mayor and parish workers. Stalls, competitions, and receptions followed with extensive community support and a thriving fundraising effort.
