The usual Country Women's Association branch meeting was held in the Rest Rooms on Wednesday in February 1947. The Vice President Mrs Summerville presided, with Mesdames Cooper, Southgate, Moore, Barwick, Laurie, Nash, and others present. Apologies were offered by several members. A vote of sympathy was given to the relatives of the late Mrs Waters. Minutes were read and correspondence noted. Plans discussed for the Show catering and a mannequin parade set for April 17 with business houses supporting. Mrs Smith will not seek re election as State President. Afternoon tea welcomed new osteeres Mrs Laird and Mrs Richardson. next month to include Mesdames Blenkin and Griffin.
