Forster Progress Association Boosts Tourist Interest
The Forster Progress Association launches a campaign to make Forster better known to tourists and holidaymakers, boosting expected Xmas and New Year visitors. The effort highlights Forster’s clean, tidy image, hospitable residents, and appeal to anglers after harbour and net fishing restrictions. A recent regatta auction drew strong interest, with bids lively and a record £110 raised for the Cape Hawke Agricultural and Horticultural Association. The article notes calls for stronger public support for local institutions and mentions planning for the next annual show on 23–24 April 1826, urging civic pride and broader community backing.
