A fragmentary notice dated Oct 24 from William Moore claims to publish a verbatim account of proceedings by incendiaries involved in a Portsmouth fire. It notes a manuscript in his shop and references a continued weekly publication with dates and prices.
Continuation recounts being placed as centinel near the Dock-gates with orders to fire on any approaching person. The plan, proposed by Le Feune and supported by Le Jeune and Captain K, aimed to deter townspeople from approaching as fires burned. The narrator explains the rationale and acknowledges the danger of carrying out such orders.
