Portsmouth Plot to Burn Dockyard and Town
A narrator recalls a plan to reach Portsmouth, enter the dock area, and ignite the yard and surrounding town. Le Jeune, Rogers, and another man would enter the dock while the speaker acted as a sentinel and another accomplice prepared a boat to flee after the arson. The speaker claims responsibility for handing over materials tied in a coarse bag and was ordered to fire at the first intruder.
