Portmouth Fire Account Promised by Duplexy Letter
A note from the Whisperer reveals a letter dated November 28, 1771, stating a full account of the Portmouth Fire will be published after Duprey’s report appears. The writer says Britain has already printed its version and that Duprey will accuse noblemen of crimes, delaying publication until his account is in print.
