The Whisperer Reveals A Daring Regency Plot
A long fragment outlines a complex scheme among two noble families to unite power by marriage. Princess Sophia uses a French mistress to connect the Duke of Zell with a young woman and her child, aided by Berensdorf and an English accomplice who praises the child’s beauty to secure the match. The plan hinges on legitimating the child through a future marriage, with the Duke slowly drawn to the infant and the females’ manipulation rising.
