Pioneer John Zacher Rites Held at Barmedman

John Charles Zacher died at Wyalong District Hospital, aged about 50, a pioneer of the Barmedman district. Born Nuriootpa SA, he moved to NSW, farmed near Barmedman then Hellarci, renowned for kindness, knowledge and farming success. Survived by wife, daughter Mrs O Hayter of Leeton, and sons Arthur Herbert and Fiden of Temora. Funeral at St John’s Church of England, Barmedman, with burial in Barmerman Cemetery. Floral tributes from local groups noted.
